Terms of Use

Effective October 5, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Sober Stride. By creating an account or using Sober Stride, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.

Not medical care or emergency service

Sober Stride provides peer-support and self-tracking tools. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis response, or professional counseling. Do not rely on Sober Stride for an emergency. Contact local emergency services or a qualified professional when needed.

Your account

Provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account. You may delete your account in the app.

Community conduct

Do not harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, discriminate against, or endanger others; encourage self-harm or illegal activity; post illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, or graphic content; disclose another person's private information; spam; evade blocks or moderation; or misuse the service. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Use the in-app report and block controls on posts, comments, profiles, and messages. Uploaded photos are screened before publication; flagged photos are held for human review. Blocking immediately removes that user’s content from your feed and notifies our moderation team. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that violates these rules, and suspend the responsible accounts. Contact support@soberstride.app about reports, moderation decisions, or appeals.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Sober Stride a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and process that content only as needed to provide, secure, moderate, and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.

Subscriptions

Sober Stride Plus subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Prices and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple's rules. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting a Sober Stride account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

Availability and termination

We may modify or discontinue features and may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, legal requirements, or service protection. You may stop using Sober Stride at any time.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sober Stride is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. Sober Stride is not responsible for user statements or offline interactions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sober Stride and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Apple terms

For iOS use, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the Apple terms control for that issue.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the new effective date. Material changes may also be announced in the app. Questions: support@soberstride.app.
